Biohazard Cleanup in Turley, Oklahoma

Turley is a census-designated place of nearly 10,000 people north of Tulsa, an unincorporated community in Tulsa County that sits between North Tulsa and the Osage County line. Without its own municipal government, Turley relies on Tulsa County services for law enforcement (Tulsa County Sheriff's Office) and the Oklahoma Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for death investigations.

Turley's housing stock includes older single-family homes along North Peoria Avenue and North Cincinnati Avenue, manufactured homes on larger lots near the Osage County border, and pockets of rural residential property near Mohawk Park and the Tulsa International Airport. The area's lower population density compared to central Tulsa means neighbors may not notice absence, a factor that extends unattended death discovery times.

As an unincorporated area, Turley does not have its own code enforcement or health department. Biohazard situations, hoarding, contaminated properties, abandoned structures, can go unaddressed longer here than in incorporated cities with active code enforcement programs.
